1. Place manual transmission in neutral or automatic transmission in park.
2. Run engine until it reaches normal operating temperature.
3. On all California models, disconnect and plug hose which connects carburetor spacer and purge valve at spacer and plug nipple on spacer.
4. On all models, disconnect and plug hose at EGR valve.
5. Disconnect and plug vacuum hose from throttle kicker or throttle kicker portion of TSP.
6. Place fast idle adjustment mechanism on specified step of fast idle cam, then check fast idle speed and adjust as necessary by turning fast idle adjustment screw. Specifications
7. Remove plug from EGR vacuum hose and reconnect hose.
8. On all California models, remove plug from carburetor spacer nipple and reconnect hose from purge valve.
9. On all models, remove plug from throttle kicker vacuum hose and reconnect hose.
