Curb Idle Speed

CURB IDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT

NOTE: Fast idle speed should be adjusted first.


1. Place the transmission in Neutral or Park
2. Bring engine to normal operating temperature (upper radiator hose hot).
3. Place A/C Heat Selector to Off position.






4. Check curb idle rpm. Insure that Throttle Solenoid Positioner (TSP) is activated. Using a 3/8 inch open end wrench, adjust curb idle rpm by rotating the nut directly behind the dashpot housing.
