Claims Preparation Instructions:
^ Only the claim Form 1863 will be accepted for this recall.
^ Claim Forms 1863 for this recall must include standard claim preparation procedures and the information shown below. Safety Recall "87M53" must be entered as M53 in the program Code Box in the upper left of the forms.

NOTE: Additional time required to correct any of the ten (10) specific items described in Attachment I, if found to be unacceptable, must be claimed at actual times ("M" times). Where required, specific items must also have District/Regional Office approval.
^ Copies of the Claim Forms 1863 must be kept in dealership service files together with the dealership's copies of completed inspection sheets.
^ It is important that only claim Forms 1863 for modifications that are authorized by Ford in this instruction be submitted for payment.
