A new thermostat (part number E5TZ-8575-C) is available to replace the current thermostat (part number E3TZ-8575-A). The new thermostat (E5TZ-8575-C) is less sensitive to sand and debris clogging.
The new thermostat (E5TZ-8575-C) is particularly applicable to customer concerns of poor heater performance resulting from a clogged thermostat.
The information contained in TSB 84-23-8 should be reviewed to ensure proper diagnosis.
NOTE: Existing dealer stock of E3TZ-8575-A thermostats can be used for non-heater performance related repairs, until exhausted.
