EXHAUST - MANIFOLD BOLT TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS (6.9L DIESEL) - SERVICE INFORMATION

The exhaust manifold bolt torque is increased to 35 ft.lbs. from 30 ft.lbs. The tightening sequence remains the same, as shown in Figure 23.
Tighten per two steps below:
1. Tighten bolts to 48 N-m (35 ft.lbs.) in numbered sequence shown above.
2. Tighten bolts to 48 N-m (35 ft.lbs.) in line sequence shown above.
