New exhaust emission calibrations 4-68J-R00 and 4-68X-R00 have been released as 1984 running changes. The new calibrations require different injection nozzle opening pressure specifications as shown in Figure 19. Early 1984 vehicles have 3-68J-R10 and 3-68X-R10 calibrations, and injection nozzle opening pressures also are shown in Figure 19.
Prior to injection nozzle service or replacement, the technician must note the nozzle identification markings on the hex of the nozzle for nozzle opening pressure specifications because the injection nozzles are not interchangeable.
