FUEL INJECTION NOZZLE - REVISED OPENING PRESSURE - 6.9L DIESEL ENGINE


LIGHT TRUCKS 1983 F & E SERIES

The diesel fuel injection nozzle opening pressure has been revised to: 2,000 - 2,150 PSI (13,790 - 14,828 kPa), with the service limit of 1,600 PSI (11,032 kPa). The pressures, 2,100 - 2,150 PSI and 1,850 PSI service limit currently shown in Step 4, on page 25-69 of the 1983 Car/Truck Shop Manual - Emission Diagnosis/Engine/Electronic (FPS 365-126-326-83 HLA) should be changed to reflect the new values.
