If one of the subject vehicles experiences hesitations, surge, loss of power, or vapor lock, the concern could be caused by excessive fuel vapor. Replacement of the mechanical fuel pump with mechanical fuel pump #E3TZ-9350-E may minimize the concern. Refer to the appropriate model year Light Truck Engine Shop Manual for fuel pump installation procedures.
Obtain an Authorized Modifications decal and list the date, dealer number and summary of alterations performed. Select a prominent place adjacent to the Vehicle Emission Control Information decal suitable for installing the Authorized Modifications decal. Clean the area, install the decal and cover it with a clear plastic decal shield.
