CURB IDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT
- Place the transmission in Neutral (manual) or Park (automatic).
- Bring engine to normal operating temperature (upper radiator hose hot).
- Place A/C Heat selector to "OFF" (if equipped).
- Disconnect and plug vacuum hose to thermactor air bypass valve (manual transmission only).
- Place the transmission in the specified gear. Specifications

Without Automatic Overdrive:

With Automatic Overdrive:

- Check curb idle rpm. Adjust to specification. Specifications
- Place the transmission in Neutral (manual) or Park (automatic). Rev the engine momentarily. Place the transmission in specified position, and recheck curb idle rpm. Readjust if required.
- Remove plug from vacuum hose to thermactor air bypass valve and reconnect (manual transmission only).
