Water In Fuel Indicator: Description and Operation

The water in fuel indicator will be illuminated when excessive water has entered the fuel system. As water collects in the fuel filter, a probe located at the water separator section of the filter, will activate the instrument panel lamp. If the lamp is illuminated, drain fuel filter. After fuel filter has been drained, the lamp will automatically reset. If lamp illuminates after draining fuel filter, replacement of fuel filter and or purging of fuel tank may be required.
