BUMPER, FRONT - MOUNTING BOLT
- TORQUE REVISIONS

LIGHT TRUCKS 1983 RANGER

Front bumper mounting bolt torque requirements have been changed for the 1983 Ranger. The torque has been reduced from 17-23 ft.lbs. to 13-18 ft.lbs. This revised torque specification should be used when replacing the front bumper or when performing service on the vehicle that requires front bumper removal and reinstallation. Care must be taken not to exceed the revised 13-18 ft.lbs. torque. Exceeding the torque specifications could cause surface cracks to develop in the chrome plating area of the mounting bolts.
