The power steering gear sector cover for Ranger trucks with 2.2L diesel are modified to be compatible with the diesel engine. The modified covers have a chamfer added as shown in Figure 7.

Whenever replacing a sector cover or steering gear assembly on Ranger trucks with diesel engine, be certain that the sector cover has the chamfer.
The new part numbers are:
