Rear Crankshaft Main Bearing Seal: Service and Repair

Fig. 16 Crankshaft rear oil seal replacement:

1. Remove oil pump retaining bolts, if necessary.
2. Insert small sheet metal screws into seal and pull screws to remove seal.
3. Install new seal with tool T82L-6701-A as shown, Fig. 16. When properly installed, rear face of seal should be within .005 inch of rear face of cylinder block.
