1. Bench bleed the master cylinder. Refer to Brake Bleeding.

Master Cylinder Installation - Manual Brakes:

2. Install the master cylinder assembly and retaining bolts. Tighten the bolts to 18-33 Nm (13-25 ft lb).
3. Loosely connect the hydraulic brake system lines to the master cylinder.
4. Secure the push rod to the brake pedal assembly using the shoulder bolt. Make sure the bushings and spacers are installed properly. Install self-locking nut.
5. Connect the wires to the stop lamp switch.
6. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Brake Bleeding.
