With Manual Brakes
For additional information see Notes, Warnings, and Hints.CAUTION: Brake fluid will damage electrical connections and painted surfaces. Use shop cloths, drip pans and fender covers to prevent brake fluid from contacting these areas.
1. Working from inside the cab below the instrument panel, disconnect the wires from the stop lamp switch.
2. Remove the retaining nut, shoulder bolt and spacers, securing the master cylinder push rod to the brake pedal assembly. Remove the stop lamp switch from the pedal.
3. Disconnect the brake hydraulic system lines from the master cylinder. Cover the ends of the lines to prevent dirt from entering system.

4. Remove the master cylinder-to-dash panel retaining nuts, and remove the master cylinder.
5. Remove the boot from the push rod.
