AIR CONDITIONING - REFRIGERANT HOSE ROUTING ON SEALER INSTALLED UNITS - RANGER 2.3L

LIGHT TRUCKS 1983 RANGER

FIGURE 23:

When installing refrigerant hoses in the engine compartment, special attention must be given to hose routings around the battery. The condenser kit contains sufficient hose lengths to route the hoses far enough away from the battery to avoid any contact that may cause premature hose ruptures. Refer to Figure 23 for recommended refrigerant hose routings.

NOTE: Refrigerant hoses contacting the battery or routed over or under the battery can fail due to contamination from battery acids and/or gases. Cable ties are suggested to facilitate hose retention for proper engine compartment routings.
