If one of the subject vehicles with less than 4,000 miles experiences a rough idle condition in drive with the air conditioning on, the following procedure may be applied to eliminate EGR flow at idle:
1. Verify air conditioning "On" curb idle RPM.
2. Disconnect the EGR vacuum line at the EGR valve, and install an inch Hg vacuum gauge to the line.
3. With air conditioning "On" and in drive, verify that the vacuum signal is in excess of 1 in. Hg.
4. Turn the hex headed adjusting screw (located at rear of TSP housing) counter-clockwise until the EGR signal is less than 1 in. Hg.
