Hood Latch Release Handle

Removal

1. Remove the battery tray. REFER to Battery and Battery Tray - Exploded View .



2. Remove the hood latch. REFER to Hood Latch .

3. Remove the 2 bolts and remove the steering column cover trim panel.

1. Pull outward to release the retainers.
- To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).





4. Remove the BCM (Body Control Module). REFER to Body Control Module (BCM) - with Intelligent Access (IA) .

5. Remove the 3 BCM (Body Control Module) bracket nuts and position aside the bracket.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).



6. Release the hood latch release cable routing clips.

7. Remove the hood release handle screw and remove the hood release handle.
- To install, tighten to 2.2 Nm (19 lb-in).






8. Remove hood latch release handle and cable.

1. Pull the hood latch release handle and cable through the cowl panel into the interior.

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
