Radiator: Service and Repair

1. On models equipped with automatic transmission, disconnect automatic transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet lines from radiator using disconnect tool T82L-9500-AH, or equivalent.
2. Drain cooling system, then disconnect radiator upper and lower hoses and overflow hose from radiator.
3. Remove electric motor, fan blade, and shroud as an assembly.
4. Remove radiator upper support bolts, then support.
5. Lift radiator from vehicle.
6. On models equipped with automatic transmission, if installing new radiator, transfer oil cooler line connectors to new radiator using pipe sealant with suitable oil resistant sealer.
7. Position radiator assembly into vehicle, then install upper supports and bolts.
8. On models equipped with automatic transmission, connect oil cooler lines.
9. Install radiator electric motor, fan blade and fan shroud as an assembly by inserting two lower legs to radiator support with two bolts.

NOTE: Ensure clamps are beyond bead and place in center of clamping surface of connections. New hose clamps must be installed inside hose alignment marks.

12. Fill radiator with specified antifreeze and water mixture.
13. Operate engine and check for leaks at hose connections and at automatic transmission fluid cooler lines.
14. Check automatic transmission, radiator and coolant recovery reservoir fluid levels.
