EGR Electronic Vacuum Regulator Solenoid: Service and Repair

Removal and Installation

NOTE: The EGR vacuum regulator solenoid is located on a bracket attached to the upper intake manifold.

1. Disconnect fuel charging wiring from EGR vacuum regulator solenoid.

2. Disconnect main emission vacuum control connector from EGR vacuum regulator solenoid.

3. Remove retaining nuts and EGR vacuum regulator solenoid from mounting bracket.

4. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten retaining nuts to 5-7 Nm (45-61 lb.in).
