ISSUE:
A light "clicking" and/or "grinding" noise may be heard on some vehicles. The noise occurs during clutch engagement/disengagement and when vehicle is at rest, engine running, transmission in gear and clutch disengaged. The noise may be caused by the clutch disc damper springs contacting the flywheel-to-crankshaft bolts.

ACTION:
Replace the flywheel using Flywheel Service Kit F6ZZ-6375-CC. Refer to the 1996 Mustang Service Manual, Pages 07-03A-7 and 03-01A-40 for replacement procedure.

The Flywheel Service Kit (F6ZZ-6375-CC) includes the following:

^ One (1) Flywheel

^ Six (6) Bolts

^ One (1) Instruction Sheet (I.S. # 7010)
