Fuel Rail Mounted Solenoid Valve

SOLENOID VALVE - FUEL RAIL MOUNTED

REMOVAL

NOTE:
- Install new fuel system O-ring seals using approved O-ring seals only. O-ring seals that are approved for natural gas use are identified with a yellow stripe.
- Lubricate the fuel system O-ring seals with clean engine oil prior to installation to hold seal and ease the installation.

1. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
3. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.







4. NOTE: The main fuel shut off solenoid valve is shown removed from the vehicle for clarity.

Remove the main fuel shut off housing nut.







5. Remove the shut off solenoid valve plunger housing.







6. NOTE:
- Install new fuel system O-ring seals using approved O-ring seals only. O-ring seals that are approved for natural gas use are identified with a yellow stripe.
- Lubricate the fuel system O-ring seals with clean engine oil prior to installation to help seal and ease the installation.

Replace the O-ring on the shut off plunger housing.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Pressurize the fuel system.
1 Turn the jack screws counter-clockwise until resistance is felt.
2 Turn the ignition switch to the "run" position.
