Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Cooler





Material

Removal





1. Remove the radiator cover.
2. Remove the battery tray.
3. Remove the air cleaner assembly.





4. Remove the two bolts and the LH and RH upper radiator mount clips.





5. Remove the retainers and the LH and RH radiator support bracket.





6. Remove both the LH and RH radiator mount bushings.





7. Disconnect the fluid cooler inlet tube and the fluid cooler outlet tube from the transmission fluid cooler. Plug the fluid cooler outlet tube and the fluid cooler inlet tube to prevent contaminants from entering the system.





8. Disconnect the power steering lines from the fluid cooler. Plug the power steering lines to prevent contaminants from entering the system.





9. Remove both the LH and RH upper A C condenser-to-radiator retainers.





10. Remove the bolts from the transmission fluid cooler.





11. Remove the transmission fluid cooler from the vehicle.

Installation





1. Position the fluid cooler in the vehicle.





2. Install the bolts retaining the fluid cooler to the core support.





3. Install both the LH and RH upper condenser-to-radiator retainers.





4. Connect the power steering lines to the fluid cooler.





5. Connect the fluid cooler inlet tube and the fluid cooler outlet tube to the fluid cooler.





6. Install both the LH and RH radiator mount bushings.





7. Install both the LH and RH radiator mount bracket.





8. Install both the LH and RH upper radiator mount clamps.
9. Fill the power steering reservoir to the correct level with clean fluid.
10. Install the air cleaner assembly.
11. Install the battery tray.
12. Fill the transmission to the correct level with clean automatic transmission fluid.
13. Complete the power steering system fill procedure.





14. Install the radiator cover.
