Liftgate Latch

LIFTGATE LATCH

REMOVAL

All vehicles







1. NOTE: Wagon shown, all others similar.

Remove the liftgate trim panel.
1 Remove the pull handle covers, screws and handle.
2 Remove the liftgate trim panel bolt covers and screws.







2. Disconnect and detach the liftgate latch electrical connector.

Wagon







3. Detach the liftgate latch cable from the retaining clips.







4. Disconnect the liftgate latch cable from the liftgate lock assembly.

All vehicles







5. Remove the latch.

3-door and 5-door
6. If a new liftgate latch is being installed refer to Liftgate Lock Cylinder.

INSTALLATION







1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
