Headlamp Bulb: Service and Repair

HEADLAMP BULB - HIGH INTENSITY DISCHARGE (HID)

REMOVAL

WARNING: High voltages are present this system. Make sure that the headlamp assembly electrical connector is disconnected if the headlamp cover is removed. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

1. Remove the headlamp assembly.







2. Remove the headlamp cover.







3. Remove the headlamp bulb ignitor.
- Disconnect the headlamp bulb ignitor electrical connector.







4. Release the headlamp bulb retaining clamp.







5. WARNING: Wear safety glasses and protective gloves when removing and installing HID headlamp bulbs. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

CAUTION: Do not touch the glass surface of the headlamp bulb.

Remove the headlamp bulb.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
