EGR Tube: Service and Repair

EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) VALVE OUTLET TUBE

REMOVAL







1. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.







2. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.







3. Disconnect the breather pipe.







4. Remove the air cleaner.







5. Disconnect the two differential pressure feedback (DPFE) hoses.







6. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve tube to the ignition coil bracket bolt.







7. Remove the EGR valve tube to accessory bracket bolt.







8. Fully loosen the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube nut from the bottom of the EGR valve.
9. Raise and support the vehicle.







10. Fully loosen the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube nut.
11. Lower the vehicle.







12. Disconnect the ignition coil and suppressor electrical connectors and secure to one side.
13. Remove the EGR valve tube.

INSTALLATION







1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
