Fuel Injector Wiring Harness: Service and Repair
FUEL CHARGING WIRING HARNESSREMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the ignition coil cover.
1. Detach the retaining clips.
2. Detach the coolant pipe from the retaining clip and remove the ignition coil cover.
3. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
4. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector (air cleaner shown removed for clarity).
5. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.
6. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.
7. Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) valve electrical connector (air cleaner shown removed for clarity).
8. Disconnect the fuel charging wiring harness electrical connectors.
9. Remove the spark plug cover.
10. Disconnect the variable camshaft timing (VCT) solenoid valve electrical connector.
11. Raise and support the vehicle.
12. Disconnect the oil pressure switch electrical connector.
13. Lower the vehicle.
14. Disconnect the knock sensor (KS) electrical connector (intake manifold shown removed for clarity).
15. Disconnect the intake manifold vacuum control electrical connector (air cleaner shown removed for clarity).
16. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor electrical connector.
17. Detach the fuel charging wiring harness clip from the ignition coil bracket.
18. Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors.
19. Remove the fuel charging wiring harness
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
