2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.
3. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
4. If an obvious cause is not found, codes may be shown in the audio unit display (vehicles with 6006 or 9006 audio unit only). Check the audio unit display for error codes. All except vehicles with 6006 or 9006 audio unit refer to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
