DTC P2195 - STALL AFTER COLD START IN
EXTREME LOW AMBIENT TEMPERATURE

FORD:
2003-2004 Focus

ISSUE
Some 2003-2004 Focus vehicles, equipped with a 2.0L SPI engine, operating in extreme low temperature environments of 4° F (-20° C) or lower, may exhibit one or both of the following conditions.

^ Stall at idle while the engine is warming up

^ Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) illuminated with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2195 stored in continuous memory

The condition may be due to the positive crankcase ventilation valve (PCV) pintle becoming frozen, and sticking in the maximum flow position. The condition may or may not be present during normal diagnostic procedures.
