Accessory Drive Belt TensionerRemoval and Installation
Mach I
1. Remove the air intake scoop.
Cobra
2. Drain the supercharger coolant.
3. Remove the nut and position the wiring harness aside.
4. Remove the stud and position the coolant hose assembly aside.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Disconnect the coolant hoses.
7. Remove the pin-type retainers and the radiator sight shield.
8. Remove the bolts and the degas bottle.
9. Remove the supercharger drive belt cover.
10. Rotate the supercharger belt tensioner clockwise and remove the supercharger belt.
11. Disconnect the supercharger coolant hose.
12. Remove the cooling hose and tube assembly mounting bolt.
13. Remove the nut.
14. Remove the fasteners and position the power steering reservoir aside.
15. Remove the A/C muffler bracket nut and position muffler aside.
16. Remove the belt idler support bracket assembly.
17. Rotate the belt tensioner and position the belt from the pulleys.
18. Remove the accessory drive belt tensioner.
All engines
19. Remove the accessory drive belt.
20. Remove the belt tensioner.
^ Remove the bolt and the tensioner.
21. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Refer to Accessory Drive and Accessory Drive-Supercharged Engine for accessory drive belt routing.
