Radiator Cooling Fan: Service and Repair
Radiator, Cooling Fan and Shroud1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Drain the cooling system.
4. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
5. Remove the upper radiator sight shield.
6. To remove individual components, only carry out the listed steps.
7. Illustration 1 of 2. Remove the components in the order indicated in the illustration and table.
8. Illustration 2 of 2. Remove the components in the order indicated in the illustration and table.
9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
10. Fill and bleed the cooling system.
Item 20: A/C Condenser Removal Note
1. Lower the A C condenser to gain access to the AC condenser-to-radiator bolts.
Item 23: Combination Cooler Bolts Removal Note
1. It may be necessary to lean the radiator forward to gain access to the combination cooler bolts.
Item 24: Combination Cooler Removal Note
1. Lift the combination cooler up and forward to release it from the radiator retaining clips.
Item 25: Radiator Removal Note
1. Remove the three bolts and position the shield down.
2. Release the clips and position the radiator shield down.
Item 24: Combination Cooler Installation Note
1. Make sure that the combination cooler is seated in the radiator retaining clips.
