Tests AJ: DTC U2472 - Unexpected Ignition State
PINPOINT TEST AJ: DTC U2472 - UNEXPECTED IGNITION STATENormal Operation
With the ignition switch in the START or RUN position, the instrument cluster (IC) receives voltage from the smart junction box (SJB) through circuit CBP29 (WH/VT). When the ignition switch is in the RUN or ACC position, voltage is received from the SJB through circuit CBP43 (GY). With the ignition switch in the OFF position, the instrument cluster (IC) receives its keep-alive memory (KAM) voltage from the SJB through circuit SBP26 (YE/RD).
DTC U2472 (Unexpected Ignition State) - is a continuous memory DTC that sets in the instrument cluster (IC) when it detects a discrepancy between the hardwired voltage input and the messaged ignition state inputs from the smart junction box (SJB) for greater than 5 seconds when the ignition switch is in the RUN position.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Fuse(s)
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- SJB
- Instrument cluster (IC)
