Test B: The Luggage Compartment Lamp Is Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST B: THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LAMP IS INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation
The smart junction box (SJB) monitors the trunk ajar status on circuit CPL58 (GY/OG). The trunk ajar switch is a integral part of the luggage compartment lid latch. The switch is normally closed when the luggage compartment is closed, and is open when the luggage compartment is open. The ajar switch controls the ground side of the luggage compartment lamp on circuit CLN13 (WH/BU). The luggage compartment ajar switch is grounded through circuit GD110 (BK/WH). Voltage is supplied to the luggage compartment lamp through circuit CLN09 (YE/GN).

- DTC B1331 (Decklid Ajar Rear Door Circuit Failure) - is an on-demand DTC that sets when the SJB detects an open from the decklid or rear door ajar circuit.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Luggage compartment lid latch
- Luggage compartment lamp
- SJB
