SEAT BACKREST - SECOND ROW, 40 PERCENT

Disassembly and Assembly

1. Remove the seat
2. Remove the seat backrest.
3. Remove the head restraint assembly.

4. CAUTION: Use care when separating the seat backrest trim cover from the hook-and-loop strip, or the hook-and-loop strip may be torn from the seat backrest foam.

Release the hook-and-loop strips, invert the backrest trim cover and remove the 3 rows of hog rings.
- If equipped, route the heated seat wire harness through the backrest trim cover.

5. CAUTION: Use care when separating the seat backrest trim cover from the hook-and-loop strip, or the hook-and-loop strip may be torn from the seat backrest foam.

Release the hook-and-loop strips and invert the backrest trim cover to the top of the backrest.

6. Remove 4 screws and the backrest hard back panel.

7. NOTE: The head restraint guides are not interchangeable.

Squeeze the tabs in and remove the 2 head restraint guides.

8. Remove the backrest trim cover.

9. CAUTION: If installing a new cushion foam pad, the heater mat cannot be reused. A new heater mat must be installed. Failure to follow this instruction may result in component failure.

NOTE: A new heater mat can be attached to the foam pad where the old heater mat was removed but a used heater mat should not be reattached to any foam pad.

Remove the backrest foam pad.
- If equipped, note heater mat wiring harness routing for installation.

10. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
