Front Bumper Cover / Fascia: Service and Repair




Bumper Cover - Front

NOTE: Sedan shown, coupe similar.











Removal and Installation

NOTE: The front bumper beam is a welded on component.

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Jacking and Lifting Service and Repair.

2. NOTE: Sedan shown, coupe similar.

Remove the 4 radiator grille pin-type retainers and the radiator grille.





3. Remove the radiator lower air deflector. For additional information, refer to Front End Body Panels Service and Repair.

Remove the 6 fender splash shield pushpins.





5. Remove the fog lamp wiring harness pin-type retainer and position aside.

Remove the 2 upper bumper cover pin-type retainers.





7. NOTE: LH sedan shown, RH and coupe similar.

NOTE: The headlamp was removed for better view of pushpin.

Remove the 2 pushpin retainers from the bumper cover mounting reinforcement bracket located beneath the headlamps.





8. NOTE: Sedan shown, coupe similar.

Remove the 4 bumper cover mounting reinforcement bracket nuts.





9. NOTE: Sedan shown, coupe similar.

NOTE: The rearward upper portion of the bumper cover must be pulled outward to release the bumper cover mounting reinforcement from the front LH and RH fender.

Remove the bumper cover.





10. NOTE: Sedan shown, coupe similar.

Disengage the bumper cover from the retaining brackets and remove the bumper cover by peeling from the wheel well first.





11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
