Glass Reseal - Rear









1. 4-door vehicles: Remove the C-pillar trim panel, parcel shelf, high mounted stoplamp and lower the headliner.

2. 5-door vehicles: Remove the liftgate trim panel.

3. Disconnect the rear window glass electrical connectors.

4. Clean the interior and exterior of the rear window glass surface with glass cleaner.

5. Cut the urethane adhesive applicator tip to specification.





6. NOTE: Use either a Air Caulking Gun or a high-ratio, electric or battery-operated caulk gun that applies the urethane adhesive with less effort and continuous bead.

NOTE: Make sure there are no gaps in the urethane adhesive bead.

Apply the urethane adhesive over the top of the existing urethane adhesive.
- Apply the urethane adhesive to the top and sides of the rear window glass from the interior of the vehicle.

- 4-door vehicles: Apply the urethane adhesive to the bottom of the rear window glass from the exterior of the vehicle.

- 5-door vehicles: Apply the urethane adhesive to the bottom of the rear window glass from the interior of the vehicle.


7. NOTE: The urethane adhesive must cure for a minimum of one hour before testing for air or water leaks.
After the urethane adhesive cures, check the rear window glass seal for air or water leaks through the urethane adhesive bead and add urethane adhesive as necessary.


8. Connect the rear window glass electrical connectors.

9. 4-door vehicles: Install the high mounted stoplamp, headliner, parcel shelf and C-pillar trim panels.

10. 5-door vehicles: Install the liftgate trim panel.
