Removal
NOTICE: Do not spill brake fluid on painted or plastic surfaces or damage to the surface may occur. If brake fluid is spilled onto a painted or plastic surface, immediately wash the surface with water.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may include installation details.
1. Disconnect the brake tube-to-brake flexible hose fitting, remove the brake flexible hose clip and the brake flexible hose bracket bolt.
- To install, tighten the brake tube-to-brake flexible hose fitting to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).
- To install, tighten the brake flexible hose bracket bolt to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
2. Disconnect the brake flexible hose-to-wheel cylinder fitting, remove the 2 wheel cylinder bolts and remove the wheel cylinder.
- To install, tighten the brake flexible hose-wheel cylinder fitting to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
- To install, tighten the wheel cylinder bolts to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
Installation
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Bleed the wheel cylinder. REFER to Component Bleeding .
