Receiver Drier Cartridge

Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to Jacking and Lifting Vehicle Lifting.

2. Recover the refrigerant. REFER to Air Conditioning (AC) System Recovery, Evacuation, and Charging .

3. Remove the condenser outlet and inlet fitting bolts and disconnect the fittings.

- Discard the O-ring seal.
- To install, tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).

4. Remove the 8 retainers and the underbody insulator.





5. Remove the radiator lower air deflector.

- Remove the 8 retainers and 6 pushpins.
- To install, tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).





6. Disconnect the electrical connector and detach the connectors from the lower radiator support.





7. Remove the 4 lower radiator support bolts and remove the lower radiator support.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).





8. Remove the integrated receiver/drier plug and remove the receiver/drier cartridge.





Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Install new O-ring seals and gasket seals.

- If filtering of the refrigerant system is not to be carried out, add the correct amount of clean PAG oil to the refrigerant system. REFER to Refrigerant Oil Adding .

2. If filtering of the refrigerant system is not to be carried out, evacuate, leak test and charge the refrigerant system. REFER to Air Conditioning (AC) System Recovery, Evacuation, and Charging .
