Compressor Oil Check

The compressor oil should be checked in the following order when being introduced into a used system:

1. Perform oil return operation.

2. Remove the compressor from the vehicle.

Compressor Draining:

3. Remove the oil drain plug and extract the oil.

4. Measure the extracted oil with a measuring cylinder.

5. Check the oil for contamination.

7. Remove the oil filler plug and insert oil through the filler.

Charging amount is as follows:

Collected Amount Charging Amount

more than 60cc (2.02 oz.) same as collected amount

2. Remove the oil drain plug.

3. Measure the extracted oil with a measuring cylinder.

4. Check the oil for contamination.

5. If more than 50cc (1.68 fl. oz.) of oil is extracted from the compressor, supply the same amount of oil to the compressor to be installed.

If the amount of oil extracted is less than 50 cc (1.68 fl. oz.), recheck the compressor oil in the following order:

1. Supply 50cc (1.68 fl. oz.) of oil to the compressor and install it on the vehicle.

2. Perform oil return operation.

3. Remove the compressor and check the amount of oil.
