Choke Thermostat/Heater: Description and Operation

The automatic choke heater warms the bimetallic spring in the choke housing, causing the choke to open shortly after engine start-up. Battery voltage is supplied to the heater through the EFE relay and auto choke relay from terminal 10 of the ECM. The ECM shuts "OFF" power to these components when the engine reaches operating temperature.
