Cleaning & Inspection

1. Clean all removed carburetor components with suitable solvent (excluding O-ring, packings, gasket and electric parts).
2. After cleaning, blow out each passage of the carburetor with dry compressed air to remove any foreign material.
3. Inspect float and needle valve as follows:
a. Check for cracks or damage to float assembly. Check for abrasions in the float pin hole.
b. Check for abrasions and/or damage on the float pin.
c. Check for damage on the needle valve, body and spring assembly.
d. Check for damage on the needle valve seat and strainer.
4. Inspect accelerator pump as follows:
a. Inspect pump piston for wear or damage.
b. Inspect springs and strainer for damage.
c. Inspect pump injector for damage.
d. Inspect accelerator pump piston bore for wear and scratches.
5. Apply battery voltage to all solenoid valves and check for smooth operation. Replace as necessary.
6. Check choke breaker diaphragm and choke heater units for excessive wear and/or damage.
