Throttle Cable/Linkage: Service and Repair

Accelerator Controls:

REMOVAL:

1. Disconnect negative battery terminal.

2. Remove accelerator cable.

3. Disconnect kick down switch connector on models with A/T.

4. Remove pedal bracket retaining bolts and remove pedal assembly.

DISASSEMBLY:

1. Loosen nut and unscrew kick down switch.

2. Remove the pad.

3. Remove spring from stem assembly.

4. Remove E-clip and remove stem assembly with spacer.

INSTALLATION:

1. Reverse disassembly and assemble pedal assembly.

2. Install pedal assembly to dash panel.

3. Adjust pedal stroke.
