Cylinder Head - Disassemble

- Tools Required, or equivalent:
J 8062 Valve Spring Compressor
J 37979-A Adapter
J 38232 Valve Guide Seal Installer

NOTE: Keep all Removed valve components in correct order so they can be installed in same location.

1. Valve lifters and shim from cylinder head.
2. Install a valve spring compressor and a adapter to compress valve spring.
3. Valve keepers, spring retainer and valve spring.
4. Slide valve out of cylinder head.
5. Using needle nose pliers, Remove valve guide oil seal from cylinder head.
6. Spring seat from cylinder head.
7. Repeat Steps 1 through 3 for each valve assembly.
8. Valve guide bushings (if required).
