Fuel Filter: Description and Operation

Purpose
The filter element is designed to trap particles in the fuel that may damage the fuel injector system.

Construction
A paper element fuel filter is used in the fuel feed pipe ahead of the fuel injector. The filer housing is constructed of steel to withstand maximum fuel system pressure, exposure to fuel additives and changes in temperature.
