Fuel Rail: Description and Operation

FUEL RAIL
The fuel rail distributes fuel to the individual injectors and is located on top of the engine. Fuel is delivered to the input end of the rail by the fuel pipes and hoses, goes through the rail, then to the fuel pressure regulator. The pressure regulator keeps the pressure to the injectors constant. The remaining fuel is then returned to the fuel tank.
