Supplemental Restraint Systems ([1][2]SRS) Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)s are stored in EEPROM and can not be cleared by disconnecting the negative (-) battery cable. To clear SRS DTCs, connect a TECH 1 to the Data Link Connector (DLC) (with 3000015 adapter and "Mass Storage" cartridge), plug the power cord into the cigar lighter and turn the ignition switch to "ACC" or "ON." The TECH 1 will clear the DTCs by alternately grounding terminal "TC" and terminal "AB" of the DLC.
