1. Remove steering wheel. Refer to Steering and Suspension / Steering / Steering Wheel.
2. Remove upper and lower steering column covers, Fig. 3 .
3. Disconnect ignition switch electrical connections.
4. Using a center punch, mark center of tapered-head bolts securing lock cylinder housing.
5. Drill into tapered-head bolts using a .12-.16 inch (3-4 mm) drill bit.
6. Remove tapered-head bolts using a bolt extractor.
7. Place ignition switch in ACC position.
8. Push down stop key and remove cylinder, Fig. 4 .
9. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten new tapered-head bolts until bolt heads break off.
