REPLACE
1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then loosen TV cable locknut and adjust nut, Fig. 7 .
2. Disconnect TV cable from throttle valve linkage and TV cable bracket, then from cable guide bracket at top of transaxle.
3. Raise and support vehicle and remove left splash shield.
4. Disconnect Park/Neutral Switch from transaxle, then place a drain pan or suitable container under transaxle fluid pan.
5. Drain transaxle fluid, then remove transaxle pan.
6. Disconnect TV cable from throttle valve cam at valve body, then remove cable retaining bolt and cable.
7. Inspect TV cable for fraying, kinks, excessive wear or damage.
8. New TV cables do not have a staked TV cable stopper. A new stopper must be staked if using a new cable. To stake cable stopper, bend cable to a radius of approximately 7.87 inches as shown, Fig. 8. Lightly pull inner cable from housing until a slight resistance is felt, then hold in position. Stake stopper onto inner cable so that 0.031-0.059 inch clearance exists between stop and cable housing.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
