Speaker Test/Replacement
Door Speaker
1. Remove the door panel:
- Front Service and Repair
- Rear Service and Repair
2. Remove the bolt (A). Then lift the speaker (B) straight up to release the lower clips (C).
3. Disconnect the 2P connector (D), and remove the speaker.
4. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be about 4 Ohms.
5. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the door speaker.
6. Install the speaker in the reverse order of removal.
Tweeter
1. Carefully pry the tweeter grille (A) out of the dashboard. Be careful not to damage the tweeter grille and the dashboard.
2. Disconnect the 2P connector (B) from the tweeter.
3. Remove the tweeter speaker from the speaker grille.
4. Check the capacitor (A) condition. If any problem is found, replace the tweeter.
5. Measure the resistance between the tweeter (A) terminal No. 2 and the outside terminal of the capacitor. There should be about 4 Ohms.
6. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the tweeter.
7. Install the tweeter in the reverse order of removal.
Subwoofer (with navigation)
1. Remove the front passenger's seat Front Seat Removal/Installation.
2. Remove the four mounting bolts (A) from the subwoofer (B).
3. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 3 and No. 4. There should be about 2 Ohms.
4. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the subwoofer.
5. Install the subwoofer in the reverse order of removal.
Subwoofer ( '08-11 EX-L models without navigation)
1. Remove the front passenger's seat Front Seat Removal/Installation.
2. Remove the front mounting bolts (A) from the subwoofer (B).
3. Remove the bolts (A) from the subwoofer amplifier (B), then disconnect the connectors (C).
4. Install the subwoofer in the reverse order of removal.
Input Test
1. When the connector still disconnected, make the input tests at the connector according to the table.
2. Reconnect the connector to subwoofer, and make the input test at the connector according to the table.
3. If the input test prove OK when the subwoofer has no sound, the subwoofer must be faulty; replace it.
