Tailgate Release Actuator Test

1. Open the tailgate, and remove the tailgate trim .

2. Disconnect the 2P connector from the tailgate release actuator.





3. Check the actuator operation by momentarily connecting power to terminal No. 2 and ground to terminal No. 1. The actuator should work.

4. If the actuator does not work, replace the tailgate latch assembly Service and Repair.
